We have made this beautiful space all about you, time out to relax, read, put up your feet and soak up the calming surrounds. Low central lounges to curl up on, lie all over and just rest. Large recycled old schoolhouse windows are an integral part of this beautiful open plan room, a huge custom made pure wool rug, perfect to dig your feet into, handmade throws and cushions to really make you feel cosy and at home. We have filled the shelves with art works, hand made pottery and special one-off finds. The entire space is filled with trees and plants to calm the mind. We really hope it takes you away from our busy lives even just for a couple of days.
A low-level bed with 100% pure flax linen by Major Minor, made in the Baltic and layered with collected vintage textiles. The room is open and airy, high vaulted ceilings create a warehouse / glass house feel, opening to a private deck with a summertime cold water bathtub and views to the garden. Ceiling fans, sketches and paintings make this room very laid back and very calm.
We provide breakfast for the first morning, including an organic loaf of home made bread, free-range eggs, the cottage herbalist tea, local coffee and ingredients. The kitchen area is fitted with a small kitchenette with all the essentials you will need during your stay. Concrete sinks and bench tops are teamed with a contemporary Smeg refrigerator and lots of personal vintage collections stacked on open shelves. We will also provide a list of wonderful places to eat out during your stay.
We have chairs on both decks for you to linger in the sun, read or just stare into the distance. Our garden features a mini forest of silver birch trees with a path to a custom made glass house where we have created a day bed, surrounded by pots and plants to sit and read in, snooze in or simply just hang out in! We even have an iron bathtub for the summer months - just fill with cold water and relax!
